YESU Christmas Card – A Celebration of Peace and Hope
“YESU” means Jesus in Urdu, my mother tongue, a beautiful language spoken across Pakistan and parts of India. In many South Asian Christian homes, “Yesu” is a tender, familiar name, full of love, reverence, and comfort. It’s how we call on Jesus in our heart language ❤️
To me, Yesu (Jesus) is my everything. He’s carried me through life’s highs and lows, through moments of joy and seasons of struggle, including my own journey with mental health. When Yesu died on the cross, He set us free from fear, shame, and everything that weighs us down.
When He was born in that humble manger, peace entered the world—and that same peace, the one that surpasses all understanding, is still here for us today 🕊️
The card features the Bible verse from Luke 2:11

This piece has truly been a labour of love
I chose purple for its richness, the colour of royalty and gold to honour Jesus, the King of Kings. Every star, snowflake, and intricate detail was drawn with care and prayer. Creating this design reminded me that beauty often comes through patience, stillness, and faith 🌿
